Admissions & Eligibility
What are the admission intake periods and application deadlines ?
The application period for the international programs (M1 EBA, M2 MBA, and M2 IBM) will open in February 2026. Application windows may vary by program and from year to year. The exact dates will be announced on the Application Process webpage starting from January 2026.
Is there an application fee, and how can it be paid ?
In previous years, no application fee was required to submit an application. However, an application fee will be introduced from the 2026 application phase for all international programs.

What are the eligibility requirements to apply for the international programs ?
- Master 1 European Business Administration : Applicants should hold a 3-year Bachelor’s (180 ECTS) or 4-year degree (240 ECTS).
For further details check M1 EBA program webpage. - Master 2 in Business Administration : The MBA program focuses on Corporate Finance and International Accounting. Applicants should hold a 4-year degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance (240 ECTS) and/or have relevant professional experience in Accounting or Finance.
For further details check M2 MBA program webpage. - Master 2 International Business Management : Applicants should hold a 4-year Bachelor’s degree (240 ECTS). One to two years of professional experience in an international context is preferred. Degrees in Business, Management, Economics, or Law are ideal, but candidates from engineering, health, or computer science backgrounds are also welcome to apply.

How long does the admission process take and how will I be notified of the result ?
- Once the application and all required documents are received, the Admissions Jury reviews each file.
- Depending on the application phase, interview invitations or rejection notifications are sent by email.
- Interview and result announcement dates will be specified for each application round on the Application Process webpage, starting from January 2026.
Can applicants send their CV or documents in advance to check their eligibility before applying ?
No. IAE Bordeaux does not offer a pre-admission process, preliminary document review, or confirmation of eligibility.
Applications must be submitted during the official application period. Once submitted, they are reviewed by the Admissions Committee to confirm eligibility.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to consult the IAE Bordeaux website and carefully review the admission requirements before applying to a program.
Can applicants apply for more than one program ?
Yes, applicants may apply for more than one program, provided they meet the specific academic background and eligibility requirements of each program.
Please note that each application is reviewed separately, and therefore the application fee must be paid for each program applied to.
Is it mandatory to apply via Campus France's “Études en France” platform ?
For certain countries, applying through the Campus France “Études en France” platform is mandatory. Applicants are therefore strongly encouraged to check with Campus France in their country or region and submit their application via their platform when required.
It is also possible to apply directly through the IAE Bordeaux website. However, please note that for the 2026–2027 application period, an application fee will apply.
For this reason, applicants are advised to apply through Campus France (Études en France) when applicable and not to submit applications through both platforms simultaneously.
Programs and Academics
What is the difference between Master 1 (M1) and Master 2 (M2) ?
- M1 program EBA (European Business Administration) is the first year of the master’s program. It builds foundational business knowledge.
- M2 is the second and specialization year, students choose between MBA (Business Administration) or IBM (International Business Management). The Master 2 focuses on deeper, more specialized or international topics.

The program is divided into two years : EBA (Year 1) and either the MBA or IBM (Year 2). How can I decide which one is best suited for me ?
- If you do not have a background in business or relevant professional experience, the M1 EBA year is recommended before entering M2.
- Choose the M2 MBA if you are interested in corporate finance, accounting, general management, or business operations. See here the curriculum for M2 MBA program.
- Choose the M2 IBM if you are drawn to international business, cross-cultural management, geopolitics, or global company environments. See here the curriculum for M2 IBM program.
Tip : Consider your academic and professional background - if it’s more internationally oriented, M2 IBM may suit you better, while a finance-oriented background fits well with M2 MBA.
Tuition & Scholarships
What are the tuition fees for each program ?
- M1 Program : Tuition for 2025-2026 is €5,150 (IAE Business School fees €4,900 + registration fees €250), Administrative fees & insurance ~€30 and CVEC €105.
- M2 Programs : Tuition for 2025-2026 is €5,650 (IAE Business School fees €5,400 + registration fees €250), Administrative fees - insurance ~€30 and CVEC €105.
Please note that tuition fees are subject to change and may increase yearly. Updated 2026-2027 fees will be announced on each program’s webpage under the "Academic Tuition Fees overview" section.
How are tuition fees to be paid - in full or in installments ? What are the accepted payment methods and deadlines ?
Payment can be made in full or in two installments.
Payment instructions and deadlines are provided in the acceptance letter sent to admitted students.
Tuition fees are paid through a secured online payment link (Esup-Pay) provided by the university. In case of any technical issues with the payment links, admitted candidates may request to pay via bank transfer instead.
Are there scholarships or financial aid options for international students ?
IAE Bordeaux does not offer scholarships, discounts, or exemptions for its international programs. Students are encouraged to seek funding from institutions in their home country.

How can I apply for the Eiffel Scholarship or other funding programs ?
The international programs at IAE Bordeaux are eligible for nomination under the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship. However, please note that IAE Bordeaux does not provide detailed information regarding this scholarship.
Applicants must consult on the University of Bordeaux's website, the Eiffel Scholarship programmes webpage, and are advised to contact the team in charge of the Eiffel Scholarship directly for further information on eligibility criteria and application procedures.
Is the tuition fee payment subject to a refund in case of visa denial or medical reasons ?
Yes. In the event of visa denial or medical reasons preventing enrollment, applicants may request a refund of their tuition fees. A refund will be processed upon receipt of an official visa refusal letter issued by the French embassy or appropriate medical documentation justifying the inability to pursue the program.
Student Life & Support
Does the university provide assistance with finding accommodation ?
No, the university does not directly provide accommodation assistance, you can find more information in the Accommodation webpage.
However, students can apply for CROUS Student Housing, which is managed independently by a public institution and not affiliated with IAE Bordeaux. For more information, please visit the CROUS website
In addition, IAE Bordeaux collaborates with Keysper and Studapart, two housing platforms that offer accommodation solutions for students. A Housing Support Webinar is organized via Zoom in July each year to assist students in their housing search.
Are there part-time job opportunities on campus or in the city ?
For international programs, classes run from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., so students who wish to work part-time can only do so in the evenings or on weekends.
The University of Bordeaux (not IAE Bordeaux) regularly offers student contracts for short- or long-term missions in various departments (administrative work, library assistance, event support, etc.). For more information, please visit Student job webpage.
International students in France are allowed to work up to 964 hours per year (≈ 60% of full-time work) under their student visa / residence permit.
Does the University help students find internships or job placements ?
Each year, the IAE Bordeaux organizes a Forum Entreprises Event on campus, where companies come to meet students for internship and job opportunities.
If the university receives any internship offers, these are shared with students.
However, it is mainly the student’s responsibility to search and secure an internship or professional placement.

Is there a welcome week or orientation program for new students ?
Every year, IAE Bordeaux organizes a Welcome Day for new international students. All admitted students are informed in their admission letters about the event’s date and location.
Visa & Residence Permit
What are the Visa requirements for international students ?
IAE Bordeaux does not provide direct support for visa applications, as requirements vary from one country to another. Therefore, no specific information can be given regarding visa requirements. Applicants should contact the French Embassy or Campus France office in their home country for accurate guidance.
It is recommended to apply through the Etudes en France / Campus France online platforms.
How can I obtain or renew a residence permit ?
- Information about obtaining or renewing a residence permit is available on the IAE Bordeaux website : Student Resident Permit
- Each year, a meeting with the Immigration Office is scheduled at the beginning of the academic year to inform students about the renewal process and answer any questions they may have.
Practical Information
How can I get to the campus ?
The IAE Bordeaux Campus (also called Bastide Campus) is easy to reach : you can take Tram A (stop Stalingrad or Jardin Botanique), ride a bike or electric scooter, or use the city bus network.
It’s located on the right bank near Bordeaux city center and about 30 minutes from the airport by public transport.
What are the estimated living costs (housing, food, transports) ?
According to Campus France, a monthly budget of €600 to €800 is recommended to cover food, transport, and housing in France.

What health insurance coverage is required for international students ?
- All students must have Civil Liability Insurance (for academic activities) and House Insurance (for accommodation).
- Non-EU students must register for French Social Security to obtain the Carte Vitale, which covers about 70% of medical costs.
- Registration is free but may take 2-4 months.
- Optional Mutuelle Insurance can cover the remaining 30%;
