YEAR 1 in European Business Administration (M1-EBA) 'Principles of Management'

Dernière mise à jour :

The first year of the Master's program in European Business Administration is dedicated to Business Management; welcomes international students with an educational background other than management or business and seeking to develop their knowledge of the business environment and managerial skills.

Head of EBA Program

  • Director of International Relations, Associate Professor : Pedro ARBULU

The M1-EBA program explicitly targets students from different academic backgrounds to give them a firm grasp of management's broad-based fundamentals. It also aims to prepare students to build a solid, broad foundation of general management concepts and skills across all the essential business disciplines, focusing on Corporate Finance.

All courses are taught in English by a team of European & international professors, using the flipped classroom methodology.

"M1-EBA is the first year of the Master's degree, and it is not a complete Master's program, which means upon completion of this program, students will receive an official "Certificate of Achievement", not a Master's degree."

By completing this program, students will gain the necessary skills and groundwork to enter either the second-year Master's program in Business Administration (M2-MBA) or second-year Master's program in International Business Management (M2-IBM) at IAE Bordeaux University, as well as other second-year Master's programs in management in France.

Internship/dissertation report guidelines

The purpose of the EBA program academic internship :

The academic internship is meant to put into practice the academic skills you acquired during your educational study program. For the academic internship, the goal is to work inside an organization, contribute, or support the management and apply and expand your theoretical knowledge and skills. The internship must be for a minimum of 2 months and a maximum of 6 months, therefore starting from March and finishing no later than August 31st. The drafting of an internship report validates the academic internship.

An internship is not a mandatory pre-requisite to obtain your EBA certificate, as students can choose to write a research dissertation during the second semester instead. A research dissertation builds on a research question that requires collecting and analyzing primary (empirical) data.
