The Master 1 European Business Administration (M1 EBA) is the first year of a two-year Master’s program focused on core business and management fundamentals. It welcomes international students from diverse academic backgrounds who wish to deepen their understanding of the business environment and strengthen their managerial skills.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVE
The M1 EBA program is designed for students from varied educational backgrounds and provides a solid foundation in fundamental management principles. The program emphasizes general management concepts and skills across key business disciplines, with a particular focus on Corporate Finance.
Courses are delivered entirely in English by a team of European and international faculty, using a flipped classroom methodology to promote active learning and student engagement.
By the end of the program, students will have developed a strong understanding of the fundamental principles of management and business, as well as the ability to apply analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills in academic and professional contexts. The program also prepares students both academically and professionally for advanced Master 2 (Semester 3 & Semester 4) studies and enables them to adapt effectively to an international academic and professional environment.
Upon successful completion of the program, students acquire the foundational knowledge and competencies required to progress to the second year of the Master in Business Administration (M2 MBA) degree or the Master in International Business Management (M2 IBM) degree at IAE Bordeaux University, as well as to other second-year Master’s programs in management in France.

WHO CAN APPLY TO M1 EBA PROGRAM ?
The M1 EBA program is open to applicants who have completed a three-year Bachelor’s degree (180 ECTS) or a four-year degree (240 ECTS equivalent) in any field of study.
While applicants with an academic background in management or related disciplines may have a more direct alignment with the program, candidates from all academic backgrounds are welcome to apply. Applications are assessed primarily on the basis of overall academic performance (GPA).

- Applications/Documents submitted by email will not be considered.
- Applicants who have already submitted their application through the Campus France « Études en France » platform (when required for their country) do not need to apply again via the IAE Bordeaux website, the e-Candidat platform. Duplicate applications across platforms should be avoided.

Academic M1 EBA Tuition Fees Overview
- Application Fee
- A mandatory application fee of €30 is required at the time of application for the processing and review of applications. This fee is deducted from the registration fee if the applicant is admitted to the program.
- Tuition & Mandatory Fees (2025-2026 Academic Year)
- All international students at the University of Bordeaux, regardless of nationality (EU or non-EU) or age, are subject to the following mandatory fees : The M1 EBA tuition fees amount to €5,154, which include :
- IAE Business School fees: €4,900
- University registration fee: €254 *
*Please note that the university registration fee may change in accordance with regulations set by the French higher education authorities. Updated fees are announced in June/July of each year.
- All international students at the University of Bordeaux, regardless of nationality (EU or non-EU) or age, are subject to the following mandatory fees : The M1 EBA tuition fees amount to €5,154, which include :
- Additional Administrative Fees
(Paid separately - not paid to the University)
In addition to tuition fees, students must pay the following mandatory administrative fees:- Liability insurance : approximately €20
- CVEC (Contribution de Vie Étudiante et de Campus) : approximately €105 *
* The CVEC is a national fee payable through a French government platform, not directly to the University of Bordeaux. All full-time students must complete the CVEC payment before registering for classes. Updated fees are announced in June/July of each year.
PAYMENT TERMS
Detailed payment instructions are provided in the acceptance letter sent to admitted candidates. Tuition fees may be in two installments :
- First Installment : Due according to the specific application submission period (additional information available on the application page.)
- Second Installment : Due by the end of August.
MODE OF PAYMENT
Payments can made via the University of Bordeaux secure online payment platform (ESUP-PAY).
If the university payment platform can’t be used, payment may exceptionally be made by bank transfer.

IAE Bordeaux does not offer any scholarship programs. Applicants are encouraged to explore scholarship opportunities in their home countries or through the French Embassy in their region. Please note that many scholarships, including the Eiffel Scholarship and Études en France, require applications to be submitted up to one year in advance.
